Good call - I think we have actually jammed on this a few times already. Dust is one of the greatest albums to come out of the 90's Grunge scene. If you like Mark Lanegan check out his solo album 'Field Song's' if you haven't heard it? Another understated classic from the great man. Why are there no grunge tribute bands doing the rounds? I'm going to form a Screaming Chains Jam Garden tribute band ha ha!!!!!!

Yeah, I've heard four of his solo albums (The Winding Sheet, Whiskey for the Holy Ghost, Field Songs and Bubblegum) and all of his other stuff (with Queens of the Stone Age, Isobel Campbell, Soulsavers, The Gutter Twins etc.). I'm a massive Lanegan fan. I'm sure that there will be in some in ten or twenty years time, the grunge scene still isn't that old I suppose. Apparently Alice in Chains are starting recording on a new album soon, so there's life in the old dog yet! Alice in chains were the best, then pearl jam. Soundgrden were rotten Whilst I prefer both AIC and Pearl Jam to Soundgarden, I wouldn't say that Soundgarden were rotten at all. Superunknown is a fantastic album.

Soundgarden were certainly my favs of that scene. They had a edgier, angular sound with the amazing Matt Cameron on drums. But I liked all the bands of that era. Long live grunge but keep the lumberjack shirts and dodgy cycle shorts at the back of your wardrobe where they belong.

Ha ha - alright Shark. I 'm going to look out ma old lumberjack shirts for future gigs. Cobain liked his smelly cardies though!!! I think I may have a few of them also. Badmotorfinger and SuperUnknown are 2 incredible albums which are up there with Dirt, Dust and Vitology. I forgot how good Vitology was until recently when I started listening to it again. What an album. Name yer grunge supergroup NOW!!!! Here is mine
Layne Staley - vox Mark Lanegan - backing vox Jerry Cantrell - lead guitar Jeff Ament - Bass Kim Thaiyl - Guitar Matt Cameron - Drums

Although not a grunge band, were any of you guys into Faith No More? They were pretty big around that time.
